VR Underwater World
Using cutting-edge VR and 3D technologies, step into an underwater virtual world crafted by primary school students from Wong Kam Fai Secondary School of Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School. Participants must dodge surging ocean trash within 60 seconds, challenging their reflexes! This experience is created using the immersive CAVE system vCAVE from Votanic, a startup based at the University of Hong Kong, aiming to convey the importance of ocean sustainability.
AI Chess Zone
AI robots simulate professional chess players' thinking through AI computations, analyzing participants' chess moves and engaging in matches. Whether a beginner or an expert, everyone can challenge the SenseRobot interactive chess robot designed by SenseTime, stimulating strategic thinking and inspiring chess talents among both adults and children.
AR Art Painting of the North
Yuen Long, located in the northwest New Territories, is a basin embraced by mountains, rivers, and wetlands, fostering a diverse ecological environment and habitat! Through 'AR Art Painting of the North', Hong Kong registered charitable organization 'Say Yes Education Foundation' combines AR (augmented reality) technology to showcase the natural scenery and wildlife of Yuen Long, leading participants on a journey through Hong Kong's ecological treasures, including Hong Kong Wetland Park, Nam Sang Wai, Mai Po Nature Reserve, and Yuen Long Park Bird Tower. Children color the animals on the coloring paper, and their creative works come to life instantly through the AR program's capture lens!
Jumping Grid World
The novel interactive floor blends visual arts with sensing technology, allowing interactions through floor-stepping. Sensors detect players' movements and send signals to LED lights, triggering different effects and game elements. Both adults and children can experience how body movements create dynamic effects, challenging their intelligence, judgment, and stamina! This interactive floor system, Reno Vloor, developed by Reno VR Limited, incorporates interactive LED lights and sensors, offering players a range of exciting sports activities and games, such as virtual sports and interactive puzzles.
VR North District Cycling
LocoBike, a shared bike startup incubated by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2017, presents a VR cycling experience. Participants only need to sit on the LocoBike and wear a VR headset to virtually cycle along the bike path in Nam Sang Wai, Yuen Long, immersing themselves in the tranquil rural scenery woven together by Tian Ye, fish ponds, and nature. Even those who have never learned to ride a bike can enjoy the joy and freedom it brings through this safe, simple, and immersive experience.
